Finally!

A stylish Baby / Toddler Carrier that costs pennies and doesn't require a lot of sewing know-how! I wanted my own carrier, but who can afford the high prices that come with them? It was also important to me that any carrier would have to be lightweight and compact when both in and out of use. I designed this carrier to meet all these needs. Its cheap, its easy to drag around, and its comfortable. It can also be made with or without a sewing machine! All you really need is an old pair of blue jeans, a pair of scissors and a needle and thread!

Why Carry?

- I hate pushing an empty stroller while I'm trying to chase my son!! I also hate that an empty stoller becomes a grocery cart for everyone else's bags and my son has to walk anyway!

- Sometimes, a stroller just doesn't work. Craft shows, shopping malls, performances, and other places to tight or too crowded for a stroller. We like to hike, and my son can, (and does) walk for most of it, but his small legs eventually get tired, so I carry him a while. We can go places stroller-moms would only dream about!

- Close to nap time? I find my son falls asleep much faster and for longer when in a carrier than a stroller. Strollers also give him a sore neck, and you can't stop moving or he'll wake up!

 About This Carrier
I started carrying my baby when he was small in a snugglie-type carrier. I was interested in a sling or a wrap, but I didn't reall ylike the miles of fabric required for the usual sling. I also didn't like the way some of the ties criss-crossed your body in the most unflatttering ways! I have aimed this carrier at older babies and toddlers, as most of the carriers I found were more for smaller babies.

Although the pattern is provided FREE, we would really appreciate payment in order to keep the site free for those that can not afford it. Please, give what you can.

Testimonials

I made mine when my little guy was about a year old. We both just love it! It seems to calm him down, being so close to me! I've used mine countless times, and we always get people asking us where we got it. I love the look on their faces when I tell them I made it! ------Jenna, Edmonton, AB, Canada

I really love mine! My favorite part was the cost! I refuse to pay $85 for a strip of fabric, but I really liked the fact this site has the pattern for free to those who need it! I didn't pay at first because I wanted to try it before I paid anything, but it only took me once or twice to head back to this site to donate! Word to the wise, however: Do NOT give your kid a lolipop while in the carrier! It was all over my hair and you can't grab it away from him! ------Shylynn, Red Deer, AB, Canada

I really like mine too! I made it in about half hour and it seriously cost me nothing! It works great if I have to work during nap time or if I don't want my daughter running around clients houses! (I'm a realtor and I show houses while wearing my carrier!) ------Hailee, Vancouver, BC, Canada
